Thanks for the encouragement, Phyllis.

I go back and forth about whether or not to even continue this blog, with the other responsibilities I've take on lately. And -- if I do continue it -- whether or not it should be researched articles or just casual musings I have or comments about discoveries I make along the way. Casual musings and incidental discoveries would certainly be easier!

Okay, so I'm a little behind on comments, reading, etc.
I too have enjoyed reading and catching up on this blog. I can't seem to "remember" to read it...it doesn't POP up to me when I get on the computer. I'll have to find out how Yvonne does that.

Having one day finally I actually don't "go to work" (till 5:00 anyway) has given me some much needed catching up on my reading Bible schedule as well as my computer reading time (other than FB, of course!)

So, like Yvonne, if it's there, I'll certainly read it as I see it.

Thanks to you both!

Love ya,

Mary Kay Ash, who started the famous "pink" cosmetic company also said, "Everyone has a sign hanging around their neck that says 'Make me feel important.'"

One person who makes me feel that way is our preacher's wife. A teacher who teaches teachers, she's very busy. However, when she talks to me, I feel as though she's been waiting all week to talk to me, and that everything I say is just fascinating. I have yet to turn the tables on her, I so enjoy basking in her warmth!

Thanks for your input, Yvonne.

Coincidentally, the TOPS magazine I received yesterday featured an article entitled "Fighting Fake Food Claims," which talks about "value-added foods," like juice with added fiber, diet sodas with vitamins added, "immunity-boosting foods," even butter with omega-3 added. One of the sub-heads is "Natural Means Nothing."

It's a ploy to make us think we're eating healthier without having to substantially change our eating habits. Unfortunately, it works. Fortunately, they can't mess with the nutritional content on the back of the package. It's up to us to read it.

My favorite misleading label is "wheat" bread. Hmmmmm..... I thought it was ALL (mostly, anyway) wheat bread, even if it's white and pillow-soft. They're trying to imply, of course, that it is "whole-wheat" bread. This is one product you always have to check the ingredients for the first one listed. Actual whole wheat bread is more rare than you think. I've even been fooled by the "7-grain" label, which implies a lot healthier product than is sometimes the case.
